The city of Lviv can be reached by airplane, train or bus. From Airport it is easy to reach the workshop place by the trolleybus No. 9 (up to “Ustiyanovycha” trolleybus stop). From the Railway Station the workshop place can be reached by tram No. 1 (up to “Lviv Polytechnic” tram stop). From a bus station, the easiest way is to take a taxi.

The Organizing Committee recommends participants to book places of accomodation in the city of Lviv. Booking in advance is strongly recommended.
Dnister **** – 3 min walk to the Workshop place, single and double rooms starting from 500 UAH
Eurohotel **** – 30 min/20 min (walk/ city transport), single and double rooms starting from 400 UAH
“At Bürger” **** – 30 min/15 min (walk/ city transport), double rooms starting from 375 UAH
Hetman *** – 45 min/20 min (walk/ city transport), single and double rooms starting from 317 UAH

(100 UAH is about 9 EUR in April, 2009)

Organizing Committee has arranged the following places of accommodation for the workshop participants:
- Hotel Dnister **** with 15% discount, Address: 6 Mateyka St. (close to the Workshop place);
- Hotel Perlyna, Address: 34a Puluya St. (20-40 min by city transport);
- Student’s Hostel of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Address: 5 Lukasha St., Hostel No.11 (15-20 min walk to the Workshop place);
- Student’s Hostel of Lviv Forest Technical University, Address: 10 Pryrodna St., Hostel No.4 (20-25 min walk to the Workshop place).

Education

Lviv is an important education centre of Ukraine. It is home to three major universities and a number of smaller schools of higher education. There are eight institutes of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, more than forty research institutes, three academies and eleven state-owned colleges. Another institute that was and is renowned in the region is the Lviv Polytechnic (in Polish: Politechnika Lwowska).
